Private Equity- Pre-MBA Associate- Energy

Job Description

• Constructing complex financial models; • Composing internal approval memoranda, letters of intent, and other deal documents; • Assisting in all aspects of due diligence, especially industry research and financial analysis; • Monitoring portfolio companies financial performance post-investment, often attending and serving as an observer to the board of directors; • Identifying and contacting potential investment opportunities; • Assisting with marketing initiatives and investor relations; • Participating in meetings with management teams, M&A intermediaries, and financing sources.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years Energy experience from an investment bank, or private equity firm with significant LBO, M&A and/or leveraged finance transaction experience; • Excellent financial, modeling, and analytical skills; • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills; • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with exceptional academic achievement; • Mature and professional candidate who is a self-starter willing to accept a large amount of responsibility; • Very strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and resourceful
