Private Equity- Pre- MBA Associate- Generalist

Job Description

The Associate will be a generalist and intimately involved with all aspects of the private equity business from evaluating new opportunities to executing transactions and monitoring the portfolio. • Constructing complex financial models • Composing internal approval memoranda, letters of intent, and other deal documents • Assisting in all aspects of due diligence, especially industry research and financial analysis • Monitoring portfolio companies financial performance post-investment, often attending and serving as an observer to the board of directors • Identifying and contacting potential investment opportunities • Assisting with marketing initiatives and investor relations • Participating in meetings with management teams, M&A intermediaries, and financing sources

Requirements

• 2-3 years Investment Banking Experience- must be a top-tier performer or • 2-3 years Investment Banking Experience with 1 year Private Equity experience • No one will be accepted if more than 3 years of I-banking or over 4 years out of Undergrad • Significant LBO, M&A and/or leveraged finance transaction experience; • Excellent financial, modeling, and analytical skills
