A Private Equity firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join its software team.

What the job involves

  • Private investing position focused on originated private credit transactions with leading private credit investment firm.
  • Associate will serve as a key member of a software deal team in the underwriting and approval process for transactions, including initial screening of deals, structuring, proposal issuance, detailed due diligence, modeling, formal credit approval, negotiation of documentation and closing.
  • Associate will typically be working on 3-4 live deals at once, so will balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Typical deal team is three people (MD, VP, associate).  Sr. Associate is expected to develop his/her own opinion and contribute meaningfully to the final investment decision.
  • Associates are expected to contribute meaningfully to all aspects of the investment process and will gain an immense amount of deal experience (closing 6-10 transactions per year), as well as work with existing investments and portfolio companies.
  • In addition to outstanding investment performance, the firm prides itself on its collegial culture so personality fit is important.

Who we are looking for

  • Passionate about investing.  Enjoy the challenge and opportunity of working with middle market companies.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private investing, leveraged finance, consulting, or restructuring.
  • Three-statement financial modeling ability with LBO and/or leveraged finance modeling experience.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Experience working on transactions and with companies in a range of industries is preferred, though not required.

      A Private Equity firm is looking for an VP / Director to make a significant contribution to its new growth

      What the job involves

      The candidate will work in small deal teams (usually 3 to 4, comprised of a senior team member and an associate) on all aspects of credit investing

      This provides an attractive opportunity for high caliber individuals to assume significant levels of responsibility, to interact directly with senior team members as well as private equity investors, company management, co-investors, sell-side banks, lawyers, accountants and other business professionals, and to be part of a new growth platform

      Responsibilities

      Play a leadership role in managing all aspects of transaction execution with minimal supervision, including but not limited to driving business due diligence, industry research, preparation of investment memoranda and other written materials as well as leading investment committee presentations, actively driving legal documentation process with external counsel and interacting with financial sponsors and management teams.

      Candidates successful in the role will be responsible for coordinating and driving the activities of all team members, the investee company, and external advisors.

      Maintain active oversight on management of portfolio companies as well as stay abreast of portfolio company performance and related industry trends with the support of an associate.

      Who we are looking for

      • Bachelors or Masters Degree demonstrating superior academic performance
      • 8 to 15 years of total experience
      • 6 years of relevant work experience in middle-market private credit investing or leveraged finance
      • Ideal profiles will have experience underwriting software services deals
      • Well versed with legal documents and meaningful prior experience of leading and driving legal document negotiations
